Roadworks mean delays for motorists

MOTORISTS are set to endure five months of roadworks at a busy city junction as part of a £90,000 project to replace ageing gas mains.

Work at Western Corner on Corstorphine Road got underway at the weekend and is expected to take 20 weeks to complete.

Scotia Gas Networks, the firm carrying out the work, said it would be necessary to put temporary traffic restrictions in place westbound on Corstorphine Road at its junctions with Ellersly Road and Saughtonhall Drive, and access to Riversdale Road from Riversdale Crescent will also be suspended during the works.
