Road in Glasgow closed due to '˜ongoing police incident'

A stretch of road in the Springburn area of Glasgow has been cordoned off following an ongoing police incident in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police Scotland Control Rooms said online: “Atlas Road is closed between Springburn Road and Springburn Way. Diverson in place due to ongoing police incident.”

Glasgow City Council said in a traffic bulletin at 12.05am: “Due to an ongoing police incident, Atlas Road is closed from Springburn Road to Springburn Way.”

Eyewitness reports on social media suggest a road traffic collision took place, with images showing a police vehicles at the scene at 6.30am this morning.

It is not known yet if there are any injuries.
