Reward offer for return of missing cat

A CAT owner is offering a £500 reward for the safe return of a missing moggy that is feared stolen.

Pamla Craig’s Burmese cat, Cassie, was reported stolen to police one week after she disappeared on March 21.

The six-year-old pet, which was last seen in Allan Park Gardens in Craiglockhart, is described as being a light grey Burmese, with a slight build that “looks almost like a kitten”.

“She has never stayed out for this long,” said Ms Craig. “Unfortunately, no witnesses have so far come forward but I am convinced someone has taken her due to the fact she was fully aware of her own environment and the dangers, never wandered far from home and was always back for tea.”

Last week, the News told how a moggy which was feared stolen in Colinton turned up three months later and weighing an extra four pounds. Two young girls had been seen walking off with a cat in January.
