Reward for return of heirlooms

A WOMAN is appealing for the safe return of her diamond earrings after she accidentally handed them into a charity shop.

The Dalkeith woman donated several bags of items to four charity shops in the town, and believes the earrings may have been tucked away in a black leather handbag.

The single diamond earrings, which have a loose gold petal round the outside, were left to the woman – who asked to remain anonymous – by her mother.

She has now appealed for their return and said: “I have turned the house upside down several times looking for them.

“My mother left me them so they are very important to me.”

She added: “I would give someone a reward for their return.”

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the earrings is asked to call 07759319832.
