Revealed: Bizarre items left at hotels

A GUITAR, a baby car seat and a roll of carpet are among the unusual items that have been left behind at hotels, according to new research.

Mobile phone chargers and underwear topped the list of the most commonly forgotten belongings, but a survey of lost property also found a number of wigs, keys to a sports car and walking sticks have all been found after guests checked out.

Novotel Hotels said false teeth and hearing aids were also found in rooms at its 31 outlets along with adult toys, odd shoes and electric toothbrushes.

Hotel towels topped the list of the most popular items to be taken from rooms, with guests also keeping cushions, bathrobes, lightbulbs and remote controls.

The hotel franchise has even opened its own online shop so customers can buy everything in the rooms they stay in.
