Revamp for historic hall

Community groups in Edinburgh’s Southside have benefited from a revamp of the Nelson Hall.

Barr Construction recently completed a new Sainsbury’s Local store in South Clerk Street and selected the hall for a redecoration as part of an ongoing initiative.

Nelson Hall was originally donated to the citizens of Edinburgh by Thomas Nelson and Son, the publisher, in 1913 and has been used as a community centre since 2006.
