Restaurateur funeral

THE funeral of a popular restaurateur who died in a motorcycle accident is set to take place on Wednesday.

Sicilian-born Roberto Alongi, 44, who had been manager at The Caprice in Musselburgh for 20 years, was riding a 20,000 BMW motorcycle he had bought for his birthday when it collided with a car on the A83 Inverarary to Lochgilphead Road two weeks ago.

His funeral will be held at St Mary's RC Cathedral, on Broughton Street, at 10am.
