'Respect Ramadan' ads taken off Malaysian TV

A MALAYSIAN TV station has axed a series of adverts to mark the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan after angry viewers complained the ads insulted non-Muslim ethnic minorities.

The clips showed a Chinese girl eating in public, wearing skimpy clothes and being loud. The ads urged viewers not to do such things during Ramadan.
