Resignations over ECA plan

THREE lay governors have quit Edinburgh College of Art over plans for it to merge with the University of Edinburgh.

Governors Lady Mathewson and Robert Robertson announced their resignations yesterday, and it was revealed that Professor Stephen Black had resigned two weeks ago.

Lady Mathewson said: "I and my fellow governors who have resigned no longer have confidence in the Chairman or Principal."
