Residents get their say on future of county

EAST Lothian residents can have their say on the future of the county at a council-run planning summit next Tuesday.

The East Lothian Community Planning Partnership (ELCPP) will canvass the views of householders in a bid to build a society "where everyone has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life and which contributes to a fair and sustainable future for Scotland and the wider world".

ELCPP wants to know what residents consider this statement means to them and their communities and then relay their views at the meeting.

The collated opinion will form part of the ELCPP's strategic plan which sets out the county's priorities and planned actions to achieve them.

The information will affect how county services will be delivered.

Interested residents can have their say by completing an online survey at www.east lothiancommunityplanning.org.uk before the deadline of November 30. Contact East Lothian Council for a paper copy of the questionnaire.

All entries will be entered into a prize draw for a family ticket to the Brunton Theatre.
