Police said there were 59 residents in the home, all of whom were safely removed from the building.

People living near the home in Murray Road were told to remain indoors with windows closed due to the smoke.

A nearby road had to be closed while the fire was put out.

Police later confirmed there were 12 staff in the home, all of whom were safely evacuated. There were 39 firefighters at the scene tackling the blaze.
