Reshuffle for Labour group

THE main opposition group on the city council has announced a reshuffle.

Labour had to change its team after its finance spokesman, Ian Murray, won the Edinburgh South seat at the Westminster general election.

Deputy group leader Ricky Henderson will take over the finance role, with Paul Godzik taking over education.

Former lord provost Lesley Hinds will take Councillor Murray's position as group chair.

Councillor Andrew Burns, leader of the Labour group on the council, said: "I am delighted that we have been able to reshuffle and I am pleased to have received unanimous agreement."
