Rescuers drink to Camilla

THE Duchess of Cornwall has rewarded two good Samaritans who went to her aid when she broke her leg in a fall in Scotland.

Camilla took a tumble while hillwalking in April and revealed in a magazine interview that she was helped by two women adding: "They took one look at me in this hole and said, 'Oh, it's you'. They were so kind.

"They took me to a hospital and stayed with me the whole time - and not one word to the press.

"I was so grateful I sent each of them a case of champagne."

Camilla was on her traditional Easter break at Birkhall, on the Queen's Balmoral Estate in Aberdeenshire, with Prince Charles, when the accident happened.

In the interview the prince also paid tribute to his wife, describing her as his "eyes and ears".

Asked if having her as his partner has helped, he replied: "Oh, yes, of course."
