Rescue team uses phone technology to locate injured walker in Moffat Hills
The drama happened on Sunday afternoon near the Devils Beef Tub, near Moffat.
The walker was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Hide AdMoffart Mountain Rescue Team was called out by Police Scotland in mid afternoon.
Using ‘phone find’ technology - where the police and the team can send a text to the person’s phone and find their position - the team was able to locate the casualty.
A team was sent to the person, with a shelter and drugs to control the pain.
Another team assembled the stretcher and wheel, and started the ascent.

Hide AdThe walker was packaged into the casualty bag, and wheeled back to the mountain rescue ambulance at Corehead.
The team met an ambulance at Ericstane farm for onward transport to hospital.
The mountain rescue team is funded mostly by public donations
