Rescue for woman who fell in love

The 19-year-old chemistry student, identified only as Alex, plunged 15ft while naked after she and a male friend climbed on to the roof in Aberdeen city centre.

She had to be rescued by police and firefighters after she became trapped in the derelict photography shop below the fragile roof.

The Polish teenager suffered cuts and bruises and was charged with breach of the peace after being released from hospital.

Last night Alex, who has been in Scotland for three years, said: "It was just a bit of fun. But it all turned a bit scary. It's been a hell of a strange day.

"I'm still in shock and I'm a bit sore to be honest."

A spokesman for Grampian Fire and Rescue said: "A female fell through the roof into the roof space. We attended to help get her out and into an ambulance.

"I can't confirm what she was doing up on the roof. You'll have to come to your own conclusions about that."
