Reminder on TV switchover aid

Older and disabled people struggling with the digital switchover in the STV Central region are being reminded they can still get help with switching to digital TV.

The Switchover Help Scheme is open for applications until July 22. Tens of thousands of older and disabled people in the area have already benefited from the Help Scheme.

BBC Two was switched off at the Craigkelly transmitter, which covers the Lothians and parts of Edinburgh, on Wednesday and all analogue channels will disappear on June 15.

Luke McCullough, Help Scheme national manager for Scotland, said: "We're still here to help any eligible person make the switch and provide everything they need to convert their TV. If you or someone you know needs help please contact us on 0800-40 85 900."
