Rebrand for Caledonian

THE Caledonian Hilton Hotel is to be rebranded as a Waldorf Astoria hotel.

The luxury brand is also owned by Hilton, and the Caledonian will be the first hotel in Scotland to adopt it.

Hilton Worldwide's Patrick Fitzgibbon said: "Edinburgh is a truly international and sophisticated city and we are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our famous luxury brand at a property with over 100 years of history as an upscale hotel."

The conversion will see 14 million spent on upgrades to rooms and public spaces.
