Reality star asks what blind students would miss most

FORMER Big Brother contestant Mikey Hughes is set to visit Telford College as part of a campaign run by the Royal National Institute of Blind People Scotland.

The reality star will give a talk as part of What Would You Lose tomorrow, which invites people to consider what they would miss most if they lost their sight.

Hughes – who became fully blind in 1998 – is due to visit the Hub area of the College to speak with students and raise awareness of how the loss of sight impacts on lives.

A runner-up on Big Brother 2008, Hughes now presents his own chat show on Insight Radio, a station run by RNIB Scotland.

Ahead of his visit to the College, he said: "I really hope the students will pop by to see me and engage with this issue, and think about what they would miss most if they lost their sight.

"It could be seeing your family grow up, reading a book or watching a favourite film. But it could also be losing your job, your income and your livelihood."
