Ready to fling themselves into contest

A GROUP of young highland dancers await their chance to perform at the inaugural Edinburgh Pipe Band Championship which took place at the Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston.

The Boghall and Bathgate Pipe Band came out top at yesterday's event which featured competition from all grades of band, along with highland dancers and heavyweight events including tossing the caber and throwing the hammer.
