Rating puts karting site in pole position

a KARTING centre at Newbridge has been awarded a Visit Scotland five-star rating.

Xtreme Karting opened in January, creating 20 jobs, and has already seen nearly 8000 customers visit its race track.

Managing director Barrie Henderson, who founded the centre with brother Scott, said: "We are delighted and very proud of our achievement. A lot of work went into ensuring the new centre would be of a five-star standard and a lot of the credit has to go to our staff."

The firm also has a five-star rating for its centre in Larbert.

Chairman of VisitScotland Dr Mike Cantlay said: "We are delighted to award Xtreme Karting with a second five star award. The awards are testament to the hard work the team has invested in making their centres quality attractions, and in the year of Active Scotland it is these kinds of attractions that will encourage more visitors."
