Rapist faces sentence wait

A RAPIST who subjected a woman to a knife-point sex ordeal after sneaking into her home must wait to discover his sentence.

A judge at the High Court in Edinburgh told John McKeown, 22, there were "concerning features" about the case - and ordered a psychologist to examine him.

An earlier hearing was told how McKeown's 40-year-old victim was so shocked by her ordeal that she lost the ability to speak. McKeown threatened to kill her - as well as a nine-year-old boy and a 48-year-old man who were held prisoner during the sex attack in Livingston, West Lothian.

McKeown of Deanswood Park, Livingston, pleaded guilty to the rape in the early hours of November 6 last year.

Judge Lord Stewart ordered McKeown to return to court next month.

He remains in custody until then.
