Iain Munro and Ian Wilson both deny lighting and throwing flares during the match at Station Park, Forfar, on August 3.

A Gavin Swankie double - the second just five minutes from the end of extra time - consigned Rangers to a shock defeat and an early exit from the competition.

Flares were seen being thrown at the game - with Munro and Wilson later arrested and charged with hurling them.

Munro, 19, of Johnstone, Renfrewshire, and Wilson, 25, of Kilmarnock, pleaded not guilty to charges of culpable and reckless conduct.

Wilson also denies being in possession of cocaine.

Sheriff Kevin Veal set a trial date in November and released both on bail on the condition they don’t attend any Rangers matches ahead of that date.
