Raina cooks up a storm

A HOSPITALITY student has been tipped as the next big thing in the culinary world after reaching the finals of a prestigious cooking competition.

Raina Gillon, 18, a student at West Lothian College, battled it out against two other aspiring chefs in the final of the 2010 Great Scot Awards Masterchef Competition.

Miss Gillon was runner-up in the cook-off, which was hosted at Martin Wishart's Leith restaurant and judged by Mr Wishart, Derek Donaldson, head chef at the Glasgow Hilton and Clive McDonald, cafe area manager for Morrisons.
