Rail union demands more industry jobs

A LEADING rail union called for more staff to be hired in the industry as it announced plans for a lobby of parliament as part of a campaign to save maintenance jobs.

The Rail Maritime and Transport union will seek support from MPs after warning that Network Rail was planning to cut 1,500 jobs.
