Raid uncovers cannabis farm

A CANNABIS farm which could produce drugs with a street value of £56,000 has been uncovered by police in a raid.

The cannabis cultivation was found in a flat in the Newington area of the Capital. A quantity of herbal cannabis was recovered from the flat in Blacket Place, along with 260 cannabis plants and growing equipment.

There was nobody in the flat when police raided the premises on Saturday, and inquiries are under way to trace two suspects who were renting the property.
