Radio play to take the stage

A PLAY originally broadcast on Radio 4 is to be presented on stage at this year's Leith Festival.

Leith-based playwright Alistair Rutherford has adapted An Island Between Heaven and Earth from his original radio piece into a full-length stage play.

It will be performed from 11 to 13 June at South Leith Parish Church Halls.

The play relates the tale of the rebuilding of Iona Abbey.
