MORE than 50 racing pigeons were killed in a "sickening" attack.

The birds - 42 adults and ten chicks - were killed in their lofts in Old Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh. Police said it appeared they died after being hit with an object. The birds were worth around 30,000.
