Race is on for fundraisers

a CHILDREN’S charity has challenged runners from the Capital to complete a marathon to help raise funds for vulnerable youngsters.

Competitors in the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon will follow a route along the loch’s south-eastern shore, heading towards Dores and finishing in Inverness.

The popular event was voted the fourth best marathon in the UK by Runner’s World magazine, with 
runners travelling from across the globe to take part.

Action for Children Scotland fundraiser Hilary Canto said: “The Loch Ness Marathon is one of the most popular events in the running calendar, allowing participants to keep active, raise sponsorship and enjoy a truly breathtaking setting.”
