Race begins to grab free places in half-marathon

CHARITY Alzheimer Scotland is offering free places for runners in the Chris Hoy Edinburgh half-marathon.

Money raised by supporters during the race on 18 April will go to aid the charity's work to support people with dementia and their carers.

Head of fundraising events, Moira Lawrance, said: "This is a great opportunity for people to take part in the event for free, then show us their support by raising funds."
