Rabbit found abandoned

A RABBIT with “extremely overgrown claws” has been found abandoned in her cage.

The Scottish SPCA rescued the lionhead crossbreed female after a member of the public spotted the cage in the grounds of Broxburn Sports Centre.

The rabbit, who has been named Spud, is now being cared for at the Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Rescue officer Jenni Wright said: “She hardly had any bedding and didn’t even have food.”
