Q to honour Crowded House legend Neil Finn

CROWDED House founder Neil Finn is to be honoured at an awards ceremony in London next week.

The 52-year-old New Zealander will receive Q magazine's Classic Songwriter Award at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday.

Mr Finn began his musical career more than 35 years ago, first finding fame when he joined his brother Tim Finn's band Split Enz in New Zealand in the 1970s.

Also to be honoured for their musical inspiration are the reunited indie guitar act Suede, fronted by Brett Anderson.
