Pupils help deaf charity

PUPILS from Tynecastle High have awarded £3,000 to Scotland's leading deaf organisation.

The youngsters presented a cheque to Deaf Action yesterday after taking part in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative and being granted the money for the charity of their choice.

The pupils from Tynecastle High School chose Deaf Action because they believe it is a charity which is tackling discrimination and campaigning for issues that they care about.
