Pupils eye chef prize

WEST Lothian pupils Amanda Simpson and Jordan Gillespie are cooking up a bid to become Livingston Food Festival's "young chef of the year".

The pair, who are pupils at Deans Community High School in Livingston, have been cooking original Scottish-style dishes under the watchful eye of chef Simon Preece. They will find out the results on Sunday.
