Puffin boat trips launched

EAGER twitchers are expected to be enticed back to the Lothians next year, after the Scottish Seabird Centre announced it would be launching more boat tours around one of the UK’s biggest puffin colonies.

The Isle of May photography trips will start on April 11. The isle is an internationally renowned seabird island, the largest east coast puffin colony in Britain, and a National Nature Reserve, owned and managed by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).

The trips will give amateur and professional photographers the opportunity to travel to the island to see some of Scotland’s most striking wildlife wonders.
