Pub opens up to aspiring comedians

A NEW pub venue is offering comedy hopefuls the chance to practise their routine for free.

The Banshee Labyrinth is to give budding performers the chance to book out their 40-seat cinema room to get warmed up for the Fringe.

Terri Krueger, marketing manager at the Niddry Street bar, said: "It's often quite hard to get your act heard at the Festival and in comedy in general, so we're starting a programme on 18 May to support some local talent."
