Pub chain in city bar deal

PUB giant JD Wetherspoon is set to create 40 jobs after buying its second bar on George Street.

The company is planning a 600,000 makeover of the former Ivory Lounge bar, after completing the purchase.

It already operates the nearby Standing Order, as well as other pubs in the city centre, Leith, Dalkeith and Bathgate.

Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson said: "We are delighted that we will be opening a new outlet in the city in the near future."
