£70m plan for hotel and homes

PLANS were unveiled yesterday for a £70 million luxury hotel and housing development in Royal Deeside.

The ambitious scheme has been earmarked for a site next to Inchmarlo Golf Club on the outskirts of Banchory and will include a 75-bedroom hotel and more than 100 houses, including 77 executive homes.

The company behind the development, Frank Burnett Ltd, owns the golf club. The developers plan to put their proposals out to public consultation next month.
