£500k of new equipment to tackle snow

WEST Lothian Council has invested around £500,000 in snow-clearing equipment for its Winter Ready programme.

The new winter maintenance vehicles include 29 snow clearing “bob cats” and two “multi-hog” machines with snow blowing attachments.

New replacement vehicles have also been secured, including four new gritters and six new mini-tractors.

“One way that people can help is by parking sensibly.”
