£2.5m price on John Leslie's home

FORMER TV presenter John Leslie is reportedly looking to double his money on an Edinburgh mansion, despite the current property slump.

The ex-Blue Peter and This Morning star has put a 2.5 million price tag on a six-bedroom house in Morningside he paid 1.25m for in late 2006.

Leslie has transformed the former nursing home into a modern family home, with views of Edinburgh Castle and the Braid Hills.

He had originally wanted to turn the villa into four luxury flats, but the plans caused friction with neighbours in Hermitage Drive.
