£2.4m ticket hidden under the carpet

LOTTO millionaire Neil Jones, 47, was so worried he would lose his winning ticket he hid it under his carpet.

The tiler and his partner, Julie Kirkham, 43, who live in Fenton, Staffordshire, landed 2,446,436 in last Wednesday's draw. The couple are planning a bumper Christmas, new house, Egyptian holiday, new business venture … and a second-hand car.
