£145,000 upgrade for Sick Kids unit

THE burns unit at Edinburgh's Royal Hospital for Sick Children has received a £145,000 upgrade.

Funds donated by the Sick Kids Friends Foundation and the City Fire Fund were used to transform treatment rooms and upgrade toilets. A bathroom, with a specialist bath used for changing dressings on children with burns, has also been installed.
