£120,000 drugs haul

DRUGS with an estimated street value of £120,000 have been seized by police, it was revealed yesterday.

Officers unearthed the haul, thought to be cocaine, after swooping on a vehicle in Main Street, Rutherglen, on Friday afternoon.

A later search of a property in Allison Street, Cambuslang, led to more drugs being recovered, Strathclyde Police said.

Two men, aged 36 and 41, have been arrested in connection with the find.

They are expected to appear in court tomorrow. A report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
