£10k boost for drop-in centre

A DROP-IN centre for youths aimed at cutting antisocial behaviour has been awarded a £10,000 funding boost.

The East Lothian Community Safety Forum made the award to support a new Friday night drop-in for young people in Ormiston.

Meanwhile, the Safer East Lothian fund awarded over 122,000 to 13 projects promoting safety and tackling antisocial behaviour.

The Community Learning and Development Service applied for 3,453 to run a youth project based at Ormiston Library.

Other projects that received funding include The Bridges Motorcycle Project, which got 15,424, and Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service's Cooldown Crew, which got 10,300.
