Protesters target Shell

CAMPAIGNERS supporting a protest over Shell developments in Ireland have attacked a local petrol station.

Police were called out to the Shell petrol station on Comiston Road at around 2.30am this morning, after several protesters took over the forecourt and vandalised the pumps.

Staff at the garage said they were unable to comment and would not confirm whether the pumps had been put out of action for any time.

Police said protesters were quickly dispersed.
