Protesters' justice plea for activist

DEMONSTRATORS from Amnesty International gathered outside the Indian Consulate in Edinburgh yesterday to call for justice for Dr Binayak Sen.

A mosaic of Dr Sen, made up of thousands of signatures demanding his release, was handed in. Dr Sen was given a life sentence on Christmas Eve after being charged with sedition and conspiracy, charges Amnesty International believe are politically motivated and aimed at stopping his human rights work.
