Prosthetic progress

A FAKE limb is fitted in the Lothians nearly every two days, figures have shown.

Advances in medicine and technology have meant more amputees or people born without key limbs have the chance to get a prosthetic equivalent.

Last year, 30 of the recipients were children, while a similar number were over 65. Another 102 limbs were fitted last year.
