Property wins £300k grant

A VICTORIAN property designed for a prominent city wine merchant and described a “palatial residence” has received a conservation grant worth almost £300,000.

The former home of Arthur Sanderson has been awarded a £290,381 repayable grant to improve stonework, the front door, and fund repairs to gutters and downpipes.

The building, in Learmonth Terrace, is now occupied by reserves and cadets of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force.
