Project gets in tune with women's lives

A PROJECT giving youth workers the chance to look at how music plays a key role in young women's lives has been celebrated in Leith.

The year-long lottery-funded Stronger Together project was celebrated at The Acorn Centre yesterday. The Stronger Together Report, which showcases the success of the project, was also launched.

Wing Li, chair of the Resource Group for Work with Girls and Young Women, the community group organising the project, said she was proud of the efforts of everybody involved.

"This is the first time this work has been done in this way in Scotland and we're really proud of the achievements of all involved," she said.

"The celebration is the cherry on the top."

Participants received certificates thanking them for their contribution to the project.
