Professor becomes a bright spark

A HERIOT-Watt University professor is to take up a leading role in
the research of laser technology.

Dr Daniel Esser will take up the position of Selex ES professorial chair in laser devices
and engineering at the university’s school of engineering.

Professor Robert Lamb of laser design firm Selex ES said: “A close partnership with a first-class university such as Heriot-Watt is vital.”
