POLICE have launched an investigation after a man’s body was found in a city park.

Officers were called to Victoria Park in Edinburgh following the discovery at around 7.30am today.

The death is being treated as “unexplained”.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers from Police Scotland are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man in Victoria Park in Edinburgh today.

“The body was found around 7.30am. The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries continue.”
